Room available in lovely care home for people with learning disabilities
26th October 2022
We have a bright and quiet room available in our wonderful eight bedroom registered care home in Fakenham, Norfolk.
We have a room available for someone with learning disabilities in our warm, bright and fully accessible care home. The other seven people who live in the home are aged between mid 30s to late 70s, with a mix of people who communicate verbally and through Makaton. Each resident is completely unique and has their own interests, so we will support you in whatever it is you enjoy.
We offer a flexible environment where every day is different. We do everything we can to meet the differing needs of everyone we support at WensumWay, with staff on hand 24 hours a day. We specialise in supporting people with profound and multiple learning disabilities, epilepsy, sensory impairments, physical disabilities and other complex needs.
What you can expect if you choose a FitzRoy home
This lovely home has eight bedrooms and the bedroom available is on the first floor, which has its own kitchen diner and living room. The room would be great if you prefer somewhere quiet, as you have the option of using the first floor lounge or the main communal area downstairs. The room would also suit someone who enjoys their own independence, as the first floor has its own front door.
Wensum Way has a large garden with raised beds, so the room would be great for someone who enjoys being outside or gardening.
Wensum Way has a 24 hour staffing team who offer person centred support for people with a range of complex needs. Our focus will be on identifying your needs and wishes and what you would find fulfilling, we have an experienced staff team who could be offering support with any of the following and more:
- Picking out the furnishings and decoration for your new bedroom
- Choosing and preparing your own meals
- Keeping your home the way you want it
- Manging your health needs
- Getting out and about in the local community
- Meeting new people and making friends
If you think you might be interested in moving in, we would love to have you over for lunch or dinner, so you can meet us all and see our home to make sure it is right for you.
