FitzRoy welcomes new Director

21st September 2015

FitzRoy are pleased to announce the appointment of Diane French as their new Director of Operations and Business Development.

Diane brings a wealth of experience, including working in a series of non-executive board roles in the NHS. She was part of the team that developed improvement reviews with the Healthcare Commission for roll-out across the NHS. She worked at the National Audit Office, and more recently was instrumental in significantly growing The Richmond Fellowship, a national mental health organisation, as Group Director of Operations.

Anna Galliford, Chief Executive FitzRoy comments:

“Diane is joining us as the external environment is becoming ever more challenging and we are pleased to have someone with her depth of experience. I am sure she will bring innovation and expertise to FitzRoy’s service provision.”

Diane French comments:

“I am excited to be joining FitzRoy, an organisation with such a strong tradition of person-centred support and where the values base is so evident in all that they do. I have spent my whole career in the public sector working to give a louder voice to those marginalised within society – it is my motivation and passion – fuelled by a belief that society is richer as a result. As a teenager I volunteered in a school for children with a learning disability and I am thrilled to be back working with and for people who remind me every day that challenges produce bravery and creativity. In this sector, at this time, both are needed in abundance”.
