Job Description

Due to continued growth and expansion, FitzRoy are now looking to recruit  Female Learning Disability Support Workers to join our fantastic teams in our Supported Living services in Blofield Heath and Thorpe St Andrews, Norfolk.

Vacancies available:

Thorpe St Andrews

  • Part Time( 30hrs)  Maternity Cover till Nov 19 - this position may well be available as a permanent position at the end of the period
  • Bank (zero hours casual contract)

Blofield Heath

  • Part Time Days (22.5hrs) Maternity Cover till Nov 19 - this position may well be a available as a permanent position at the end of the period
  • Part Time Nights (25hrs) Maternity Cover till Nov 19 - this position may well be a available as a permanent position at the end of the period
  • Bank (zero hours casual contract)

Shifts  0700 to 1430 and 1400 to 2130, you will be required to be available for either shift and will work 2 weekends out of four on a 4 week rolling rota.

You will be required to have a manual driving licence so that you can drive our residents out into the community. 

Day Duties include:

  • Social Activities – Accompanying people to health care appointments, day and activity centres, shopping, and social events
  • Practical Support – Administering medication and supporting with domestic tasks such as cooking, shopping and cleaning
  • Personal Care – Support with getting up and getting ready for the day and settling in for the night, washing, bathing, personal hygiene as required

Night Duties include:

  • Support people with their night time & morning activities, including personal care & medication,
  • Carry out domestic work throughout the night,
  • Respond promptly to offer support as required throughout the night
