FitzRoy is an ambitious and growing national charity supporting people with disabilities to lead the life they choose. We now have an opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant to join the team on a full-time basis at the head office in Petersfield, Hampshire.
Within this busy role you will have responsibility for credit control on up to 500 service user sales ledger accounts. Day to day tasks will include posting invoices, allocating cash, chasing outstanding debts and resolving queries.
In addition, the role will have responsibility for a range of property related costs such as council tax, water, gas, electricity and for processing related invoices
The ideal candidate will have an AAT qualification and/or strong all-round finance experience. Experience in rent setting and housing management is desirable as is a knowledge of disability or housing benefits. Sound numerical skills and proficient in the use of computerised accounting systems and Excel are essential.
The role requires a confident and courteous professional, who can communicate effectively with different stakeholders and make a positive contribution to the whole team.
