Job Description

FitzRoy is a national charity that provides support and care for more than 800 people with learning disabilities so they can live independent lives. Learning and development is at the heart of ensuring FitzRoy provides sustainable quality services which truly transform people’s lives.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic trainer who is passionate about making a difference by creating and delivering training programmes which result in a positive impact on our business.

You will have experience in the care sector, either as a trainer or in a support role and have the skills, confidence and attributes to deliver thought-provoking training which encourages discussion and strongly reinforces the values and behaviours we expect from our staff. You will be responsible for delivering a welcoming induction, including modules of The Care Certificate, Emergency First Aid and support-specific training sessions to FitzRoy staff.

If you are a self-sufficient trainer with the ability to deliver pre-defined programmes and create effective and varied training interventions, we want to hear from you!

The region you will be covering initially is the South East including parts of Cambridgeshire, Kent, Surrey & Oxfordshire.

The role requires frequent travel throughout your training region and it is essential that you hold a full driving licence and are able to stay away overnight occasionally. A car allowance will be included in the package.

Very occasionally there may be a requirement for evening or weekend courses to suit the business needs, as well as provision of cover for team members across neighbouring regions.

In return, FitzRoy offer 25 days holiday (pro-rated), enhanced pension with employer contributions, life insurance, car allowance, childcare vouchers plus more.
