Silver Birches is a newly built spacious registered care home in Teddington which is made up of two large flats. It is home to eight people and has a designated staff team on hand to provide you with flexible and personal support.

Our enthusiastic staff team will provide you with flexible support that will be reviewed on a regular basis. You will be encouraged to access the many local amenities in and around Teddington, Hampton Wick and Kingston to do your own food shopping and use the local cafes, parks and sports facilities nearby. We can also support you to attend college where you can take a number of different courses and learn new skills as well as making use of public transport. This is a vibrant home where you will be encouraged to follow your own interests.

Location

Silver Birches is situated in the prime location of Langdon Park in Teddington. The home is newly built and adjacent to Langdon Park grounds which offer a lovely walk to local shops and cafes. Teddington Locke and Bushy Park are both within a short walk of the home and Teddington and Kingston town centres are a 10 minute drive away. The two vehicles at Silver Birches are available for trips further afield or to visit family and friends. There are also nearby bus and train services with good links into London.

Facilities

Silver Birches is a newly built spacious home in Teddington. Bright and lively, the building consists of two individual flats over two floors.

Each flat has a communal lounge and kitchen/diner. Toilet facilities are also available for guests/visitors.

Each person has their own bedroom and if you choose to live here we will support you to decorate and furnish this to your own taste. Each person also has their own fob entry to a shared on-suite jack and jill bathroom with the most up-to-date

Facilities include an electric tracking hoist from bed to bath, bath with massage, lights and aromatherapy functions and shower room so Silver Birches is able to continue to meet each persons physical needs should they change.

There is a communal area at the top of the house which can be accessed by lift or stairs. The communal area is a light and airy area where you can use the kitchen area to have lunch or use the lounge area to relax on the sofa. You can also do arts and crafts, music or dance therapy, use the Clevertouch screen to play ice hockey or puzzles or use the specialist computers. There are also plans to add a sensory area which you would be able to use should you wish to.

The whole house is also fully air-conditioned which is lovely in the summer. There is also wi-fi provided throughout the house.

There is a very large garden which has been designed to offer access via an accessible path for people to be able to see the whole garden. The grounds have been landscaped with plants, well-established trees and a patio area where people can eat and entertain. There are future plans to develop the gardens to include a sensory garden, summer house and swings.

Silver Birches also has a very active family group made up of the families of people that live in the house. The family group meet regularly and have fundraising events and parties throughout the year.

There are two vehicles, one adapted for wheelchair users to help you access the local community and visit family and friends.
