The Malvern Services are made up of two adjoining bungalows known as Dalvington and The Oaks, both offering 24 hour residential care. Home to 13 people in total, the services are conveniently situated in a quiet residential area close to Malvern town centre. The enthusiastic staff team will support you to make choices about how you want to live your life, and will actively encourage you to follow your own interests.

Our Commitment

The Malvern services have a dedicated staff team who will support you to make your own choices and follow your own interests. We can also support you to access a variety of college courses and to use nearby facilities such as hydrotherapy pools, speech and language therapy and physiotherapy sessions. The staff team will help you to take an active part in your local community.

The Malvern services enjoy stunning views across the Malvern Hills. A long private driveway sets the bungalows back from the road, making it particularly quiet, secure and safe. There are many fruit trees and shrubs in the large landscaped garden areas surrounding the bungalows. Local bus services run regularly into Worcester and Great Malvern, and there is also a large retail park within walking distance which has a variety of shops and amenities. The adapted vehicles are regularly used for visits further afield and to visit family and friends.

Going the extra mile

We are like a big family at Dalvington, and our staff are always going above and beyond for the people we support. Recently, Crispin broke his knee during a seizure resulting in the need to stay in hospital. Support worker Kelly knew that being in hospital around strangers would be very upsetting for Crispin, especially as he can’t communicate verbally, so she stayed with him for six nights, even sleeping on the floor by his bed, to make sure she was there to reassure him, support him to get the treatment he needed and explain what was going to happen. Crispin is now on the road to recovery. Crispin's mum Carole said: “I would like to thank and praise the staff at Dalvington, for the care they have given my son Crispin over the years, especially recently. “The staff at Dalvington have never left him and have cared for him well over the expected ‘norm’”

Within the Malvern complex, both bungalows have excellent facilities. The Oaks has a large kitchen, lounge area and two accessible bathrooms, one of which is fully adapted with an assistive bath and overhead tracking hoist. The second bathroom is a shower wet room.

Dalvington has a kitchen/diner, shared lounge area, a sensory room and a conservatory. It also has three bathrooms, two of which are adapted with assistive baths and an overhead tracking hoist. There is also a large shower wet room. The bungalows are located within a large outdoor area, with patio, horticultural project, raised beds, poly tunnel and wide paths to an orchard area.

Both houses have large rooms and very wide corridors for ease of access and movement for those requiring the use of a wheelchair.
