FitzRoy East Sussex – Webb House
This fantastic site offers permanent residential support for up to 19 adults with a physical or learning disability. Formerly known as Searchlight, this service became part of FitzRoy in September 2012.
Our commitment is to the people who live here and regularly use the facilities; our friendly staff team offer personal support, tailored to individual needs. We are always working with the residents identifying their needs and finding ways to improve their accommodation and opportunities.
Claremont Road offers commanding views of Newhaven town, the coast and onto the South Downs. Between the Sussex cities of Brighton and Eastbourne, this area offers much in the way of accessible leisure and entertainment opportunities. With a number of sporty residents on site, it’s no surprise that every year a team is entered into the annual County Sports for the Disabled event. Sports include boccia (similar to boules), darts, bowls, snooker and weight-lifting. “We won our first boccia match and eventually got through to the quarter finals. We had three competitors in the bowls and came fourth overall. Darts went to the third round, and we also won a silver weightlifting medal and came third in the slalom” the team reported.
Webb House has a distinct character and offers lots of facilities, including accessible gardens, games areas, and communal areas, as well as communal lounges as and private spaces.
