Join the brave souls who are signing up to abseil down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth on 10 September to raise money for FitzRoy. The Spinnaker Tower is 300ft, and by abseiling down it you will have a fantastic day, and you will transform lives for people with disabilities, what’s not to like? Ride London – go team FitzRoy
On 31 July we will be cheering all the way as our team of 40 brave cyclists take on the challenge of Ride London for FitzRoy. This hundred mile bike ride through Surrey and London, takes in part of the Olympics cycle route, and ends at the Mall. Sally, who cycled it for FitzRoy, wrote a blog about it here.

Rowing for love
SSE Southern Scottish and Electric fundraisers entered a team in the Portsmouth Dragon Boat Festival in May, and raised a whopping £4,000. Thank you team SSE! Your efforts combined with the FitzRoy Love Boat team means the FitzRoy Love4Love service in Fareham will be able to help even more people with disabilities avoid loneliness and abuse and find love and friendship. A group of volunteers from Ford spent the day clearing the garden at FitzRoy Timber Grove in Essex, in May. This generous bunch also provided a delicious lunch for everyone.
A marathon effort from Lou at FitzRoy Rural Skills
We are incredibly proud of Lou Macmillan, Deputy Manager at FitzRoy Rural Skills, who pushed herself to her limit to run the London marathon and raise money for people with learning disabilities. Fab fundraising day
The FitzRoy team at Silver Birches in Richmond celebrated the Queen’s 90th birthday and St George’s day with a fab fundraising day that included traditional English food, a raffle, live music, and an old time sing-a-long. Read the story here.
A BP pyjama party transformed lives
The brave staff at the BP Garage in Rayleigh, Essex held a fabulous Easter pyjama party – going to work in pyjamas for a week at the end of March. They raised awareness of FitzRoy, and hundreds of pounds which they donated to our service in Timber Grove to transform lives for the people who live there. Thank you everyone who took part!
