Dreaming of a new career?
“I like helping people, communicating, working in teams, having fun, learning, training, a day full of variety.”If this sounds like you it is time to start your new career with FitzRoy.
Some of the things you'll be doing
In the morning you could be helping people to get ready for the day ahead. Perhaps supporting them to get washed and dressed. Some people just need a bit of help and encouragement while others need much more personal care.
After breakfast the plans for the day begin. The amount of support you will give varies, some people will need intensive care throughout the day. Others will need you to support them in the community, perhaps to have their hair cut, go shopping, meet a friend, or buy lunch out.
Later on in the day you might be cooking the evening meal or supporting people to meet friends out, go to the cinema, or watch television.
In the evening you’ll support people to get ready for bed and sometimes you may be required to sleep-in at the service overnight to support people if they need throughout the night.
