The name Fitzroy lends itself  to two Australian Rivers .

One in the Kimberley region of Western Australia and the other in Central Queensland .

The Kimberley region of Western Australia is a remote area renowned for its spectacularly rugged scenery , rich mining deposits , arid climate and isolation from the rest of mainland Australia . It is a largely unspoilt region , native home to tribes of indigenous Australians and unique wildlife.

The Fitzroy river in Central Queensland is large and free flowing with a vast catchment basin of the surrounding areas.
