Internationally renowned soprano sings at Petersfield charity concert
One of our longest running supporters organised a wonderful ‘Midsummer musical evening’ to raise money for FitzRoy and celebrate our 50th anniversary.
Internationally renowned soprano Kathryn Harries, was invited to Petersfield to sing a concert of musicals and operatic classics, along with established opera singers Eloise Routledge and John Pierce. There were also memorable performances by local choir members.
The concert was organised by Mrs Farmer, whose daughter Sheena lives at Donec Mews, a FitzRoy registered care home. Sue Bone also helped with the event, and together they raised £1,000 for Donec, which will make a huge difference to the people who live there.
A group of FitzRoy staff where among the 75 people who attended the concert and everyone had a fantastic time. The evening even finished with a standing ovation.
A huge thank you to everyone involved.
